ERA Realty Welcomes a New Era with ERA APAC Centre Launch

ERA Realty Network Pte Ltd (“ERA Realty”) arrives at a new milestone in its long and storied journey of being the top real estate agency with the launch of its new Asia Pacific headquarters.

Named the ERA APAC Centre, the new building in Toa Payoh estate serves as the APAC headquarters to more than 52% of ERA’s global network, simultaneously positioning ERA Realty as the only real estate agency in Singapore to own its own building.

A New Era: The new ERA APAC Centre

Spanning across three levels with a total gross floor area of 43,500 square feet, the ERA APAC Centre stands tall and proud as its own building with a rich and vibrant past. It has undergone a series of transformations (formerly known as Hersing Centre and Toa Payoh Entertainment Centre) before meeting the world as this latest incarnation, proof of the importance of sustainable workspaces to meet the changing needs of workers of the future.

Instead of tearing the original building down, ERA Realty renovated and repurposed its building for greater environmental sustainability. This includes the installation of 261 Solar panels to supply 30% of the energy usage of the whole building. Other features include a co-working space at everyday@era on the ground level, an in-house photography studio and professional recording studio (Realty Podcast by ERA).

The official opening of ERA APAC Centre is pivotal to ERA Realty’s key growth strategies in the coming years, which includes expansion of its range of services and geographical presence in the APAC region. ERA Realty has long identified the potential in the Asia Pacific region and this new centre is part of its long-term regional expansion strategy and commitment.

“Over the past years, we have taken bold but measured steps to build a strong foundation to enhance our resilience and ability to deliver quality growth over the long term. For our next three-year roadmap, we have established several objectives and initiatives which will see us strengthening our core and competitive edge, and augment our market leadership,” says Marcus Chu, CEO of APAC Realty and ERA Asia Pacific.

ERA’s APAC Milestones and Plans

In 2021, ERA Realty brought on board more than 20,300 trusted advisers across Asia Pacific. This accounts for more than 50% of the 39,000 ERA Global salesforce.

In the past two years, ERA Realty’s investments into Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam and Malaysia, has also provided it with strong geographic diversification and access to a population of more than 470 million or 71% of the total population in ASEAN. As the economies and real estate markets of these countries recover and transition into a post-pandemic environment, ERA expects to realise growth and synergies on the ground underpinned by the established ERA brand name, strong reputation and quality sales professionals.

ERA Realty targets to grow to 10,000 trusted advisers for Singapore alone, and 25,000 for ERA Asia Pacific within the next three years. The key growth markets it has identified are Indonesia and Vietnam, followed by Malaysia and Cambodia, with further plans to enter new markets like the Philippines and Australia.

ERA APAC initiatives

On 6 April 2022, ERA officially partnered up with Metigy – to provide all teammates across APAC – access to an AI predictive technology platform for self-serving content push and ad buys as part of the digital marketing enablement. This is the first-of such partnership for the property industry.

New ESG by ERA Efforts

As part of its corporate social responsibility, ERA Realty launched its ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) by ERA initiative in November 2021 with a focus on three priority areas – creating a green and sustainable living environment for Singaporeans, employee well- being, and development of evolutionary solutions.

Along with the new ERA APAC Centre which recently obtained it’s Green Mark certification from BCA, it has also embarked on other new initiatives:

  • Book Donation (25 Jan to 15 Apr 2022)

ERA Realty has been collaborating with North West CDC since the start of this year, and is currently organising a book donation drive to build a Green Community Library for their residents. Other activities in the pipeline includes a sustainability forum, green flyer distributions and more.

  • The Straits Times “Through the Lens” Photo Exhibition on Climate Change (15 Mar to 30 Apr 2022)

ERA Realty is hosting an exhibition, presented by The Straits Times, from 15 March to 30 April 2022 at ERA APAC Centre, which explores the impact of global climate change on Singapore and showcases how even a small country can do its part to tackle the challenges of the crisis. Through this jointly held exhibition with the national daily, ERA Realty hopes to heighten awareness of the threat of climate change and the importance of sustainability and going green in our daily lives.

These are all part of ERA Realty’s key growth strategies for the next three years as follows:

  • Strengthening and expanding ERA’s presence in Singapore;
  • Expanding the range of services and geographic presence in the Asia Pacific region; and
  • Acquiring new tech tools and IT transformation roadmap.

With a global presence with worldwide footprint of more than 39,000 salespersons working out of 2,350 offices across 33 countries, the ERA APAC Centre will continue ERA Realty’s vision to be a fore-runner in technology adoption and digitalization by equipping its agents with the tools and resources they need to make positive impact on the local economy and the APAC region.

Our team at PropertyGuru would like to express our heartfelt congratulations on the launch of ERA APAC Centre, and we sincerely wish the best of success for ERA Realty in Singapore and across the region!
